What separates a fan from a super fan? Wikia, the largest collaborative fan platform in the world comes to GDC Next to educate game developers on ways they can reach their most ardent, influential supporters. Through relevant data and case studies, Wikia's director of games programming, Simon Cox, will pass on Wikia's learnings on how to find, engage, properly communicate and retain the support of super fans through a game's development, launch and beyond.
After this discussion, the audience will be armed with detailed knowledge about fan behavior and how it can impact different levels of game development and success. They will learn about what fans look for, how to get them talking, as well as different and unique approaches game developers can take to get fans involved in more meaningful ways. Wikia will present data on fan behavior combined with relevant case studies to show the audience the true power and influence a devoted fan community really has.
